Digital Climate Group Appoints Shannon Li as Head of Business Development to Accelerate Next Stage of Growth

Friday, October 17, 2025

Digital Climate Group (DCG) announced the appointment of Shannon Li as Head of Business Development, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Ms. Li will lead all corporate and business development initiatives across the group's global platform. Based in Abu Dhabi, she will direct distribution partnerships, new business development, and strategic capital formation, deepening buyside connectivity to position the firm as a premier bridge between Asian and Middle Eastern capital markets.

"Shannon's exceptional track record in institutional business development and deep expertise in transition finance positions us to unlock significant value across our $3 billion-plus pipeline of Japan-Middle East opportunities," said Julien Martin, Founder and CEO of Digital Climate Group.

Ms. Li brings over 12 years of senior institutional business development experience across Asia-Pacific markets. Most recently, as Head of APAC Coverage for Sustainable Finance and Investment at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), she engaged capital markets policymakers, exchanges, institutional investors and lenders on sustainability-led financial market development, ESG frameworks and transition finance strategies, forging high-impact regional initiatives and partnerships. Prior to LSEG, Ms. Li served as China Business Executive at BlackRock, where she contributed to the architecture of the firm's China corporate platform.

The appointment comes as DCG continues executing its growth strategy, having successfully closed a strategic equity funding from Daiwa Securities Group. The firm has established a strategic partnership with the Middle East-domiciled private credit specialist, Alteia. Ms. Li's extensive institutional networks, track record in market development initiatives, and expertise in impact finance and private markets position DCG to strengthen its role as a premier bridge between Asian and the Middle East capital markets.
